Thanks, A. That was my point exactly. It wasn't fair to let one and not the others, and it wasn't right to go back on what they said.

I hate a parent who goes back on their word, wait until those kids are teenagers. Sounds like Eric has an advantage over these kids.

We went out to eat last night, and mike drove home. For some reason, he did not lock the car doors. (he said he thought they locked automatically) Anyway, when I went out to my car this morning, the door was slightly ajar as if someone had shut it very lightly, and my console and glove box were both standing open. Nothing appeared to have been taken, but my apartment manager advised me to call the police anyway so that they would be aware and could possibly patrol through our parking lot a few times at night. A police officer came by, but rather than taking my complaint seriously, he scolded me for leaving my car unlocked and told me that well, that happens, next time lock your car! Duh! I know to lock my car! I even told him that I wasn't the one who had driven it last! Thanks so much for your help officer!

Sounds like the cop who took my statement when my car stereo was stolen. She asked meif I "knew who stole it". Um, hello.... if I knew who stole my stereo you'd be taking a whole different kind of call. 911... Help ...some crazed hillbetty is beating my son/daughter to death with a roll of cut stereo wires...
