The lines become blurred on 09-17 when Olivia warns Johnny he should be wary of Sonny's newest hire.

And it all comes to a head when Sonny decides to put his secret son to the test on 09-18.

It's never good when an 80 year old character with a history of heart problems. Is Edward on his way out?

JI does not reveal if Edward survives. But, the aftermath will cause the Q's to reevaluate what it means to be a family. Including extended family Luke, Rebecca & ethan to some extent.

Mayhem erupts when a drugged edward plows into the fair.
CarJax go to the fortune tell expecting a fun time. Instead she has a warning for Jax: by trying to protect Carly, he could put her in peril.

elsewhere Sonny is not thrilled at Dominics lackluster babysitting duties. But, then Edwards come comes rolling thru and Dominic makes a desperate attempt to save Morgan.

Dominic is rushed to the hospital & may need a kidney transplant. Olivia goes into panic mode.

Dominic doesn't want his cover blown & tells his mommy to chill. Patrick overhears the 2 mental midgets and figures out Dante is Sonny & Olivia's son & nearly blurts it out in Sonny's presense.

Botoxivia begs Patrick to keep it a secret & promises she'll tell if health issues make it necessary.

Meanwhile another of Sonny's spawns...Kristina is rushed the hospital after she's rescued by her "sorta-brother- Michael" after a rumble.

And then Michael has a flashback of somehthing Jax said which shines a new light on his shooting.

With secrets filling the corridors in the carnivals wake, now long until they come bursting to the surface?

Alexis's love life made her a murder suspect, she's out of job and her teenage daughter is dating a bully.

Can it get any worse? Unfortunately. ..yes. Molly & Kristina are in danger at the carnival & Alexis almost loses both her daughters. Worse yet, one of the girls is facing a more subtle threat.

"The thing is ALexis is so resiliant & so strong" says Guza. "She's been driven to the abyss & claws her way back. SHe will again this time.

Her biggest issue is raising a teenage daugther "For whatever reason Alexis can't see Kristina for who she really is"

"She's a very troubled teen & she's going through some realistic teen issues including discovering her sexuality"

Alexis losing her job may present some interesting challenges, especially where her friendship with Diane comes in.

"Let's just say the 2 either in the same law firm, or oppposing one another will be delicious"

Fans are being pulled in different directions by GH, which seems to be pushing Olivia toward Sonny while keeping her with Johnny. “Even as actors, as we are reading our stuff, we are not sure where they are going, to be quite honest with you,” shrugs LLC, who notes that fans have been very supportive of Jolivia. “Although a lot of people said they like Olivia and Sonny, too. It’s a bit split. There are a lot of Olivia and Johnny lovers.

Sounds like fertile ground for a triangle? “Sure,” muses LLC. “But you don’t want Olivia to look like a complete jerk, like she’s stringing Johnny along when Sonny is really the one she wants – or a complete hypocrite for all the times she’s told Kate to stay away from him,” she points out. “You don’t want to completely wreck the character with hypocrisy, but a good triangle is fun to play!”

Edward's Car Crash Claims Many Victims
Suffering a heart attack after Andrea poisoned his drink, Edward loses control of his car and mows down a throng of innocent victims.

“A tragedy ensues,” shudders John Ingle. “The destruction of parts of the carnival is bad enough, but add the body count to it, and it’s dreadful! Lots of bystanders are hurt as the car careens down there. You will see bodies flying around the car. It’s very scary.”

The unguided vehicle even brings down the Ferris wheel that Claudia and Kristina are riding before coming to a stop. “Edward is unconscious at the wheel,” notes Ingle. “The only thing that moves is his foot, plunging down on the accelerator. He is just totally out of control.”

“The crash takes out three-quarters of the carnival,” adds head writer Bob Guza. “People are doing hood rolls and diving out of the way, pushing people out of the way; tents are collapsing.”

By the time the emergency crews arrive, the survivors have turned hostile. “The crowd is furious that Edward ruined their carnival, and they are – not a lynch mob; that’s a little dramatic – but they are angry,” Ingle explains. “The paramedics lift him up, over their heads, and carry him out.”

Edward does not regain consciousness and learn what happened until later, at the hospital. “Rebecca and Ethan tell him because Monica and Tracy are out of town,” Ingle notes. “Edward says, ‘I hurt so many people,’ and he feels bad about that because it’s a disaster. Lucky is saying that they are cleaning up the carnival and trying to take care of the injured – plural.”

Even though Edward is in the ICU himself, “He is feeling tremendous guilt, even though it wasn’t his fault,” Ingle sighs. “He says, ‘I shouldn’t have been driving but I did, and I was the one who hurt those people.’”

“What’s cool is, Edward immediately goes to the guilty place,” affirms Guza. “Rebecca and Ethan are saying, ‘What could you do? You were poisoned.’ But it is a big deal, John Ingle does wonderfully in the aftermath, dealing with the fact that people very, very close to Edward are in jeopardy.”

Anthony's Hit Wounds Johnny
Anthony uses Sonny’s devotion to Michael as a diversion to strike at the Corinthos organization this week, but the real victim is the elder Zacchara’s own son, Johnny.

“Anthony is back!” warns Guza. “The mob [hit] is not about the carnival. The carnival is about something else, but it makes perfect sense that Anthony would try to take advantage of it.

“From his prison cell, where he is orchestrating all this, Anthony thinks, ‘What better chance to hit Corinthos? It’s a charity carnival for his kid. They are all going to be there; nobody will be minding the store. We’ll be able to take out half the operation,’” Guza explains. “But what Anthony doesn’t count on is that two of Sonny’s people [Johnny and Spinelli] actually *are* minding the store, and they get caught in a massive ambush.”

It’s an attack that sees Anthony’s estranged son cut down in a hail of bullets. “Olivia becomes aware [of Johnny’s fate] while she’s in the hospital with Dante and Sonny,” sighs LLC. “It sounds like he risked his life to save Spinelli, but she doesn’t know any details. She’s tremendously concerned, and couldn’t stand to lose him.”

Olivia can let out some of her emotions about Johnny – but not all, as LLC points out. “Thing about it: There’s still a pretty enormous secret between Johnny and Olivia. No matter what her true feelings are for him, she’s got to keep a pretty big secret from him: that her son is his partner, put there to put him in jail. What the hell do you do with that?”

Will Olivia Expose Dante's Secret - Or Let Him Die?
In the wake of the carnival crash, Olivia must decide if keeping the secret of Dante’s paternity is worth letting her son die.

“Physically, she’s safe; it’s more of an emotional disaster for Olivia,” admits LLC. “It’s her worst nightmare coming true.”

But the carnival starts out more like a daydream. “Olivia and Sonny are sharing a warm moment of remembering their past, the way they often do, and then disaster hits,” LLC sets up. “Everyone springs into action, and it’s mayhem for a while. She doesn’t immediately realize what’s happened to Dante, but pretty soon she does. She can’t really rush to his side the way she normally would and show her concern. She does her best to play it cool, but that’s not really Olivia’s strong suit, playing it cool.”

But that’s exactly the hand Liv is dealt when she gets to the hospital and Patrick lays the cards on the table. “Olivia has to do her best to show as little emotion as possible,” LLC notes (pulling a Tine here... Me: That shouldn’t be hard for LLC), pointing out that she covers by saying, “’Why wouldn’t I be upset by someone who’s hurt?’ She and Sonny do talk in the chapel at the hospital, but even there, she has to go through a lot of machinations with him to keep the true crux of her upset a secret.”

Luckily, there is one sympathetic shoulder available. “Jax knows [her secret], so he’s very supportive,” LLC smiles. “He takes her aside at one point and tells her, ‘Suck it up, or everyone’s going to figure this out.’ He becomes a very, very nice boss.”

And someone does figure it out – but he *did* have a head start. Patrick puts two and two together. “Remember: Patrick knows Olivia has a son with Sonny because of something that Kate blurted out when she was in surgery,” LLC reminds. “He just didn’t know that son is Dante.”

And a lot more people may learn, because Patrick warns that Dante might need a kidney transplant. And Olivia knows a potential donor. “It’s a pretty major dilemma for her: keeping her secret versus saving his life. Olivia has a conversation with God that notes, basically, ‘Either decision puts my son’s life at risk.’”

Which is nothing new. “Olivia has been tempted to tell Sonny on many, many occasions, but ultimately can never go through with it,” LLC stresses. “The secret is just too incendiary, and now... there’s no way to know what the outcome will be. If she tells sonny, then he knows that Dominic is lying about who he is, and then he’s in big, big trouble.

“Sonny is such a wild card that it’s too hard to tell what he might do,” she hedges. “She doesn’t [believe] that Sonny [would give his son] a free pass from Sonny’s wrath. She has to put it in the hands of God. She says ‘I’m looking for a sign. I’m going to put this in your hands.’”

Matt and Lisa hit it off on Monday, November 23. Morgan makes sure Jax and Carly are stuck together on Thanksgiving. Meanwhile, Alexis and Mac, and Max and Diane, respectively, also become the target of sets of Thanksgiving cupids. Tradition is alive in Port Charles on Wednesday, November 25, when the Quartermaines, along with most of the Spencer's enjoy Thanksgiving pizza pies!
