Ok, I just read that she was on "My So Called Life" & "Greek" but I never watched either of those shows. I did watch My So Called Life, but Claire Dianes bugged me the way she said "Jordan Catalano" so I quit.

Family Ties That Bind

To keep Sonny from finding the incriminating evidence against her,
Claudia uses seduction to distract him, and hides the evidence
without him seeing her do it. Later, wanting to see if he can trust
her, Ric tells Claudia it was Anthony who set up Johnny in order for
him to want the family's help to get him out of it. Claudia wants to
go to Johnny and tell him but Ric asks her not to. When Carly pays
Sonny a visit, she catches Claudia watching the DVD Jerry sent her.
While at Sonny's, the claws come out when Claudia and Carly lash out
at each other. Carly vows to Claudia she will make sure Sonny kicks
her out of his life for good, leaving Claudia with an uneasy feeling.
When visiting Johnny, Claudia encourages him to come back to the
family and allow Anthony to help him. After Lulu goes to Luke to help
out Johnny, he steps in and visits Sonny. Luke asks Sonny to help get
Johnny released from jail. Luke shows up at the PCPD surprising
Claudia, Johnny, and Lulu with news the charges against Johnny will
be dropped. Later, Claudia receives surprising news when she learns
Sonny is provoking a war by moving shipments through Jason's
territory. Lulu begins to suspect Johnny and Claudia are keeping
secrets when Claudia reveals to Johnny that she received the DVD from
Jerry.

Meanwhile, when Olivia impresses Jax with her knowledge about how the
power outage could of happened to the Metro Court, he offers her a
job as plant manager of the hotel. Jax and Carly are honest with each
other about their feelings and what the future may hold for their
marriage. After making plans to spend the afternoon with Jax, Carly
splits when she hears from Max, Sonny plans on landing another
shipment at Jason's piers, she goes to intervene. When Jax realizes
Carly chose Sonny over him, once again, he invites Olivia for a dip
in the hotel's new swimming pool. Carly accuses Sonny of being
jealous every time she takes Jason's side. When Jax flirts with
Olivia, she makes it quite clear she doesn't mix business with
pleasure.
Elsewhere in Port Charles ...

Nikolas learns Nadine's first love was killed in Iraq and she wants
no part of Equinox, the company who holds the patent to her aunt's
invention. Patrick informs Sonny that Michael's condition will never
change. Luke and Bobby talk about re-building Kelly's. Winifred warns
Maxie not to get in her way. Ric cautions Luke not to go up against
Anthony. Lucky confides in Elizabeth about his strained relationship
with Sam. Spinelli and Maxie argue when he finds out she seduced him
to distract him from Winifred. Nikolas tries to convince Nadine to
sign over the rights to the patent when he believes she won't be able
to handle the situation she's about to step into. Diane suggests to
Alexis she plays matchmaker to get Carly and Jax back together. Ric
lets Johnny know he is his only hope of getting released from jail.

interruptions, "General Hospital" is back in full swing with lots of
drama heading your way.

THIS WEEK ON: GENERAL HOSPITAL

Jax and Carly come to a mutual understanding. Nadine makes it clear
that she wants nothing to do with Equinox and its dealings with
manufactured weapons. In honor of Ruby's memory, Luke and Bobbie
discuss rebuilding Kelly's. Sam is unsettled when she witnesses how
close Lucky and Elizabeth are getting. Robin feels the stress of
motherhood. Patrick informs Sonny that Michael's condition could be
permanent. Sonny and Carly come to an understanding and work on re-
building their relationship. Diane suggests that Alexis and she work
on bringing Jax and Carly back together, instead of tearing them
apart through a divorce. Johnny is arrested, and Ric offers help from
Anthony. A surprising individual bails Johnny out.

The Inside Story: Claudia and Her DVD's
Claudia has her hands on the latest Jerry Jacks DVD, but
unfortunately for her Sonny is too close for comfort. Claudia tries
to distract Sonny and hide the DVD before he grows suspicious on
Monday, January 5. Carly catches Claudia in the act. Carly gives
Claudia a stern warning. Claudia is surprised by Sonny's generosity
and latest actions. Johnny learns of what Jerry's been up to in the
afterlife. Lulu grows suspicious of Johnny and Claudia.

A Closer Look: When Spinelli Met Winifred
On Friday, January 2, Spinelli met Winifred (played by Senta Moses),
his "female counterpart. " On Monday, January 5, Maxie grows
suspicious of Winifred, but is quickly calmed down by Spinelli's
words. Unfortunately, being the Maxie we all know and love, that
won't stop her from snooping. Winifred threatens Maxie, while
Spinelli can't side with Maxie this time. Thinking she is saving him,
Maxie goes to great lengths (think bedroom) in changing his mind.

ABC Hotsheet Spoilers, Week of 1/5/09

It's a New Year, and any hope Spinelli had of it being a calmer one
goes right out the window! First, we learn that Winifred -- the nerdy
girl that's developed an interest in Spinelli -- is actually an FBI
agent. She's undercover and using Spinelli to get to a bigger target:
Jason.

Maxie is steaming with jealousy over the new woman that's replaced
her as Spinelli's closest confidante. So she decides to take action.
After confronting Winifred, and futilely trying to convince Spinelli
that the girl is trouble, Maxie decides to go to Plan B to get her
best friend back: She seduces him! Afterwards, Spinelli gets wise to
her plan -- but before they can get into it, he's arrested by the
Feds. The charges: Treason and homeland security violation. How will
the Jackal escape this one?

Across town, Johnny's having his own troubles with the law. He's
arrested for assaulting someone, even though the charges are bogus --
a fabrication by Anthony and Ric. Lulu pleads with her father, Luke,
to help get her man out of this mess. Luke, showing an odd degree of
parental interest, agrees to help her out. Luke gets Sonny on the
case, and the pair teams up to save Johnny -- despite the
ramifications Sonny's actions will have on father-in-law Anthony, and
the Zacchara mob in general.

Carly and Jax move forward with their divorce, despite each other's
ambivalence. Diane and Alexis, their respective lawyers, realize it's
going to be nothing if not messy. Thus, the only solution -- as these
two logical ladies see it -- is to get Carly and Jax back together
(yes, Alexis DOES get in on this)!

All this, PLUS: Claudia takes on Carly (and she might take on Olivia,
given Jax's interest in her) and Nadine fights the U.S. government
over her refusal to be an arms dealer.

ALSO: Remember the Metro Court hostage crisis? The hotel fire? The
train wreck? Starting January 15, General Hospital is bringing you
yet another event that ranks up right there alongside these biggies!
People will live, people with die ... and GH will never be the same
again.

Natalia Livingston returns! Plus: The next great GH story begins!

She's got a familiar face ... but is this the girl we once knew? Get ready for your first glimpse of Natalia Livingston this week as she returns to the show. We got to know and love her during her years as Emily Quartermaine, the kindest, gentlest Q -- and the true love of Nikolas Cassadine's life. But we saw Emily die, right? We can tell you that Natalia will be playing a character named Rebecca. But ... is there a connection to Emily?

Her entrance comes amidst the beginning of the next, epic General Hospital story. Beginning January 15, General Hospital (the building, and the show!) erupts into full blown crisis -- on a scale on par with past stories like the Metro Court hostage crisis, the train wreck, and the Port Charles Hotel fire. The residents of Port Charles are going to figure out pretty fast that every minute counts, because it could be their last. And yeah, that means death.

And since one impending disaster is never enough, look for tensions between Sonny and Jason to reach a fever pitch this week. They continue to provoke each other, while Claudia keeps playing them against one another -- and that's not even including role the FBI plays when they offer Jason Spinelli's freedom in exchange for Sonny's. Yep, Jason has to choose: Spinelli or Sonny.

All this, PLUS: Robin's post-partum depression worsens -- even as she and Patrick look to buy a new house next door to Elizabeth, Sam considers a new career path, Nadine takes on the U.S. government, and Carly might finally convince Jax their marriage is worth saving.

Once the baby was born, however, Jason Morgan claimed the child was his - the baby was fathered by his brother A.J. Soon afterward, Carly left town believing she harmed her child. Upon her return months later, she refused to touch the baby. It was revealed that Carly was going through postpartum depression, but not everyone was convinced - in particular one Robin Scorpio. Patrick's concern begins to grow as the family moves into a new house, he is worried about Robin's mental stability. Elizabeth offers to help Robin and Patrick move into their new home. When Emma gets fussy and begins to cry, Robin bolts from the house, leaving Emma with Elizabeth. She goes to see Jason to ask him about Carly's battle with Post Partum Depression. Patrick makes a shocking discovery. Patrick worried about Robin, he suggests to her to make an appointment to see Lainey, Robin is offended at the idea and denies there is anything wrong with her. An unsettled Patrick re-lives the events leading up to the tragedy that has struck the hospital. Mob War Escalates Jason encounters Sonny and Claudia as they watch the aftermath of the explosion of Sonny's shipment. Jason warns Sonny he would retaliate if Sonny pushed ahead with moving shipments through Jason's territory. Claudia fuels the fire between Sonny and Jason, knowing she will have the advantage if the two go to war over territory. Maxie calls Jason and informs him the FBI has Spinelli at the PCPD and are asking questions. Jason goes to the PCPD and Agent Raynor offers Jason a deal to help out Spinelli. Rayner's offer will drop the charges against Spinelli, but Jason must go undercover to take down Sonny and Anthony. Carly refuses to help Jason and chooses to spend her night with Jax. Claudia encourages Sonny to make his move on Jason. Sonny and Jason play cat and mouse and a mob war is inevitable. Torn over being an informant for the FBI, Jason calls Bernie to get all the information Anthony he can find. Agent Rayner informs Jason the FBI needs his help to track down information on a domestic terrorist group that uses biotoxins. Spinelli tells Sonny about his encounter with the Feds and how all the charges were dropped when Jason met with Agent Rayner. Sonny confronts Jason about working with the FBI. Jason and Sonny meet and are honest about their intentions. Both come to terms with each other and will try to stay out of each other's way. Jason asks Sonny to make a clean break from Anthony, but Sonny refuses, he wants to finish what he started. Sam gets involved and tells Jason she is going after Anthony whether he likes it or not. Elsewhere in Port Charles ... Carly and Jax decide to spend some time together to see where it leads.. Nadine saves the day when her appeal sways the committee in her and Nikolas' favor. Carly and Jax share a romantic evening together. After being released from jail, Maxie takes Spinelli home to her apartment. Claudia gets caught searching Sonny's room for the incriminating DVD, her and Kate clash. Lulu goes to Carly when she can't make the rent payment. Johnny lies to Lulu and tells her he got the job at the hospital, when really, he didn't. Alexis supports Sam when she decides to become a private investigator, against Lucky's wishes. "He and Maxie have just had a falling out, so he's moping by the docks," says Bradford Anderson, who plays computer nerd Spinelli. "He sees Maxie coming toward him with a bouquet of flowers. Right as he turns to see her, he is grabbed by two FBI agents." Spinelli is hauled down to the PCPD, where he learns Maxie was right about Winifred. "He sees Winifred when he is brought into the police station and puts it together." Yup - Winifred is not the fawning computer geek she pretended to be. She's an FBI agent who's been getting the goods on Spinelli's involvement with the mob. "He has no idea he has been under surveillance, " says Anderson. His lawyer "Diane shows up and barks at people, but Spinelli stays in lockup." Jason also rides to the rescue, but his little buddy is in big trouble. "Spinelli knows [agent] Rayner and Jason are talking in the famous interrogation room, but he has no idea what is being said." Viewers will know, though: Rayner threatens to press charges against Spinelli unless Jason goes undercover to bring Sonny down. "The cliff-hanger here is whether Jason will take the deal," says Anderson. Meanwhile, the young nerd has some fences to mend with "fair Maxie-mista. " "They have a pretty horrific fight right before he is arrested," says Anderson. "It's amusing for Spinelli because he hasn't really talked ill of many people. Maxie didn't trust Winifred from the beginning. Spinelli assumed she was jealous. He thinks he's incredibly worthy of praise." The character of Winifred was initially slated to be short-term, but "GH" now plans to keep her around. "I don't think Winifred will be romantic [with Spinelli] necessarily, but she will be useful in forwarding the Maxie and Spinelli story line," says the actor. Spinelli will have more to worry about than Maxie - or jail - starting next Thursday, when "GH" kicks off one of its trademark nail-biters for February sweeps. "It's going to be an all-cast-involved story line," says Anderson of the hospital-based tale of a mystery patient and subsequent crisis that will bring Natalia Livingston (ex-Emily) back to Port Charles. "We have to give all our efforts to save the day."

First of all, there was the long-time-coming sexual encounter, coming via the worst possible circumstances (Maxie! What were you thinking? You're probably the first person in history who would have been better off taking Sam's advice. Sam's!). Then the heartbreak of Spinelli finding out. But THEN the party really started. Maxie and Spinelli were so MEAN to each other. The kind of mean you can only really muster if you really care about someone. Considering how much we've all invested in the Maxie/Spinelli relationship, the level of intensity was riveting. So much so, in fact, that we're spreading the love across two categories. Performer of the Week: Bradford Anderson and Kirsten Storms, as Damian Spinelli and Maxie Jones. We had out eye on Bradford already, since the arrival of Winifred brought out a bashful, geeky enthusiasm in Spinelli we don't see too often. You could really tell how exciting it was for him to be getting attention for "The Saga of Stone Cold." And every time Maxie cut down Winifred for being a geeky loser, you could see how much it hurt Spinelli. But then, in the after-sex throw-down with Maxie, he was absolutely heartbreaking. And Kirsten was right there with him, going punch-for-punch. These two make a fantastic team in all circumstances, but we'd never seen them this adversarial to each other, even back when Maxie was mean to him just out of principle. This was all deeply-felt pain and anger. We live for that stuff. Why We Love "General Hospital" This Week: Loving the new characters in play these days. Winifred: Stalker Geek (tm, Maxie Jones) was a total kick in the pants in the way she imitated Spinelli, threw down with Maxie ("Dudess, are you for real?" was a choice moment), and then was revealed to be a total FBI spy. Now that Spinelli's been arrested, her ruse is going to come to light, but we kind of hope she's able to redeem herself and stick around. Port Charles could use a non-glamour girl or two. And we're still loving dastardly Agent Rayner, who was dastardly Grant Harrison (played by probably-not- dastardly Mark Pinter) on "Another World." We hope he sticks around too. Maybe with him playing the bad cop it'll allow Mac Scorpio to play the good cop every now and then.

What is a woman that looks exactly like Emily Quartermaine doing applying for a job at the hospital? That's a question that only Rebecca -- the new character played by Natalia Livingston -- can answer. What's she doing in Port Charles? And why does she so closely resemble Emily? Look for her story to kick into high gear this week.

Meanwhile, we get more flash forwards into the crisis affecting the hospital. Somehow, the FBI is involved in all this madness, as we see Patrick talking to Agent Rayner (the same agent that's forcing Jason to get the goods on Sonny). But what does this have to do with the surgery that Patrick is trying to stop?

One person that gets some answers this week is Claudia. Thanks to Ric, she learns that Anthony was the one who shot Kate. This puts her in an interesting position: Does she tell Sonny -- someone she's actually growing to, well, like -- and certainly get in his good graces more? Or does she keep her father's secret?

Robin's anxiety and short-temperedness only grow worse as her increasing discomfort with motherhood take hold. Oddly enough, it's a visit from Carly that may end up helping Robin in the end. Carly -- never a big fan of Robin's -- identifies symptoms that she knows all too well: post-partum depression. She tells Patrick that Robin has PPD, is in denial, and needs help. Fast.

All this, PLUS: Sam goes undercover, Liz and Lucky grow closer, Maxie and Johnny have a secret, Olivia gets in the middle of the Jax vs. Nikolas situation, and Matt has a new crush.

A catastrophic event at General Hospital could end lives! Kate gets proof that Claudia was responsible for Michael's shooting!



With regard to the crisis at General Hospital, things go from worse to ... much, much worse. As in, nobody's safe. With blizzard conditions raging outside, a handful of car accidents lead to some fateful collisions. One of them is potentially deadly, as Sam slams into Earl Bragg -- the man carrying a boatload of deadly toxins! Before you can say "inevitable disaster," the toxins are released, and the denizens of Port Charles start dropping like flies!

As for Kate, she's trying to figure out what's up with Claudia and the DVDs. But once she watches 'em, she has evidence that Claudia was responsible for Michael's shooting. So now the question isn't "Will Kate pass the info on to Sonny?" -- it's more like "How quickly?" Get a bulletproof vest now, Claudia.

Nikolas finally spots Rebecca, the Emily doppelganger. But can he really believe his eyes? He does have a history of seeing Emily when she's not there.

Meanwhile, Luke encounters a brand-new character skulking around the Haunted Star. Who is this guy, and does he really have the stuff to put one over on Luke?

All this, PLUS: Sam and Lucky's relationship continues to evolve (but in a good way?), it's Johnny to the rescue, and Michael's benefit begins.
