I'm not surprised it when down like that. One throwaway line, in a sea of impending drama...sounds very Guza to screw a Q like that. Anyhoo, congrats to Monica!! Finally, the COS position is hers!!

Now all we need is for AJ to come back from the dead...Michael to wake up, & for them to all be w/ the Qs @ the mansion--one big happy, albeit dysfunctional, family!

Unfortunately, in order for ABC to afford this influx of returning characters, we'll have to get rid of some people. I have a few suggestions.

If they can't get rid of any of these, then I'll even sacrifice getting rid of the precious Liz!

I've been gone most of the weekend...I missed it on Friday...and haven't seen it in re-airings yet...will probably have to DL it...

My GURL FINALLY gets the position she RIGHTFULLY EARNED AND DESERVES!!!...

I agree...I am TIRED of them not giving the VETS...ESPECIALLY Leslie Charleson and the character of Monica REPSECT...it IS disgraceful to know that AFTER ALL THESE YEARS *32 for the character of Monica and 31 for Leslie in the role*...that the writers, producers and Brain Frons don't value such a talented actress and AWESOME character...

YES...MONICA is the character with the most seniority of all that are presently on canvas...and Leslie is also the actor with the most seniority. It is HER story along with Alan, Rick and Lesley that SAVED THIS SHOW FROM BEING CANCELLED!

For her to ONLY HAVE ONE LINE is PATHETIC on ABCDummies end.

This madness of destroying GH and ignoring the rich history of the show needs to end! Disrespecting the actors who were responsible for making this show what it is... totally unacceptable.

And yes, how terrible to just not even mention the death of the character they basically brought on to replace my Beloved Alan!!!

Giving Monica ONE FRICKIN LINE....is a bunch of BULLLLLSHEEEEEIT...

I'm UPset for the character AND the actress.

See...Y'ALL DON'T UNDERSTAND WHERE ISIS IS COMIN" FROM...

It was MONICA *and Leslie's portrayal* that made me...at FOUR YEARS OLD become ADDICTED to GH...I couldn't wait for the show to come on when I was a kid...and when I began school I would HURRY home to watch...and BEGGED for us to get a VCR just so I could tape MONICA *and Alan of course*...and it was MONICA that made me become and STAY premed just about ALL of my life * yes I'm still TECHNICALLY premed even though I teach*

I remember how she was this gung ho resident then attending FEMALE physician...we didn't often see them on TV back then *except for Helena Russell on Space:1999...and Dorian on OLTL *but both were short lived as SP:99 was only two seasons...and Dorian got her license revoked because of Victor's death*..and also Lesley Webber who preceeded Monica on staff at GH...but was a General Practicioner compared to Moni being a surgeon.

I remember that Monica was this minx that was tough enough to hang with the big boys in surgery *and surgery was a man's world back then*...and still be able to turn on all the cream for the men. She was IMO the Pepper Anderson of daytime. *and then also sort of the Sue Ellen Ewing with out the drinking and oppression*...

I remember her becoming Chief of Cardiology when Rick left town...and then BEATING Alan and other MEN to become the FIRST Female Assistant Chief of Staff under Steve Hardy back in 1988. Although she didn't stay in the position long...choosing her surgical career and family over the huge loads of administrative work...*which is how Alan got the position*...the fact that she was CHOSEN FIRST says a lot about who Monica is as a physician.

I remember Monica stepping in to take over as Chief of Staff again during Alan's drug addiction and recovery...making sure GH stayed afloat and Alan kept his job.

The fact that they put Dr. Ford ...someone who literally appeared out of thin air...with NO history on the show...in the position pissed me off to the DEEPEST DEPTHS OF PISSTIVITY!!! How in the HELL can ANYONE justify that? You can't...it was blatant...overt SEXISM. And then to go on to put PATRICK...someone BARELY out of his residency as CHIEF of Staff...basically because you've KILLED OFF or exiled anyone who is REALLY QUALIFIED to have the job...and you want to prop SCRUBS...well that's ABSURD...it shows TPTB's STUPIDITY.

One line...to express what Monica has worked YEARS for...has PROVEN THROUGH EXPERIENCE that she should have BEEN the one APPOINTED from the jump...ONE FUCKIN' LINE!?!?!

Just yet another example of just how FUCKED UP and FUCKED this show is.

Yes I'm VERY HAPPY FINALLY Monica got the position...

BUT WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE FINALLY???
