Cellular Video now showing Y&R

AT&T offers a service called Cellular Video (I'm sure other companies offer this as well, but I don't know what they call it) which shows short clips and highlights from different shows. Some shows even offer full episodes, like NCIS, Desperate Housewives, and Lost. I happened to be looking for something on there today, and remembered that they are now showing select episodes of GH online now, and thought I'd check to see if it was available on CV. It isn't right now, but CBS does show Young and the Restless! I don't watch that show, but if it is successful, maybe ABC will test it out with GH! It won't help with ratings directly, but there is a possibility that it will drive more viewers to the show!

Well, CV is designed for people on the go. A typical person who would watch CV is a person who spends lots of time away from their tv-people who wait in airports, commute by train, sit in doctor's waiting rooms, etc. I wouldn't use it for regular tv watching, but sometimes when I'm stuck waiting with nothing to do, I'll browse through CV. Someone who may have never watched GH normally, could stumble across it looking for something to watch! It would be a really good move for GH!

Verizon offers V Cast, but I'm not sure if I could get soaps on my phone.

The best thing as far as helping ratings is concerned, is that they only show certain episodes, not all of them. That way, they can get you interested, but you have to rely on the regular tv to see what else happens!

Yeah, it's the same concept. Just selected episodes. Hopefully it will help to draw some more viewers!
