'Golden Girls' Star Bea Arthur Dies at 86

Beatrice Arthur, the tall, deep-voiced actress whose razor-sharp delivery of comedy lines made her a TV star in the hit shows "Maude" and "The Golden Girls" and who won a Tony Award for the musical "Mame," died Saturday. She was 86.
Arthur died peacefully at her Los Angeles home with her family at her side, family spokesman Dan Watt said. She had cancer, Watt said, declining to give further details.

Aw! I loved her in Golden Girls. She will be missed.

I read about that, now there is only two left

And then there was NOT Maude.

I know, right?


I was really BUMMED about it...LURVED Bea...Dorothy was my FAVORITE GG...and LURVED Maude...maybe NOW the studio will do the RIGHT thing and release the REST of Maude on dvd...it's a SHAME though as it takes a person to die before they get their just props.

RIP Bea!
