When are we going to get a new opening?

I am sick and tired of this current opening!

I agree Phoenix. We need one really bad because I'm sick of looking at the same one.

They have tweaked it, if you watch carefully. I always watch on my DVR, so I ff thru it, but someone on another board pointed out that Alan was the only dead character left and that made me watch one day...and they did change up some of the peeps in it. Not dramatic changes...and they switched the "eyes" in the very beginning. Sorry Sam fans...but Elizabeth is in there now. :lol:

I never did like this opening in the first place...it's a slap in the face of the female actors on the show when ONLY the men are shown at the end.

As for time for a change...I'm all for it and been all for it...now when they had the racing ambulance...for 17 years...I RARELY complained until near the end of its run...and I only complained then because the track was getting bad...but to me that opening will FOREVER BE WHAT GH WAS ABOUT. THE HOSPITAL...you didn't need to see the actors...all you needed to see was THE HOSPTIAL...

Now...there was a time in the 80s when I wondered why GH didn't have an opening with the actors in it...Like OLTL and Y&R did...but hey I was young and didn't realize at that time that it wasn't necessarily that important.

As now in hindsight...as much as I LURVE the OLTL theme with Peabo Bryson singing the vocals and the images of the cast showing up...my FAVORITE OLTL opening is the Rising Sun opening that we had during OLTL GOLDEN YEARS...from 76-81 *aka the Karen Wolek Years*

And so that's how I feel about the GH opening...this one sucks...the Ambulance one ruled...and they NEED to TOTALLY change this current one to include the ladies too!!! A new score would also be nice.

I'm sure it costs too much. Like everything else does. I'm still pissed they took out the previews in favor of running ads by celebrities saying how much they liked the show.

I think we'll only see a new opening if they SORAS Michael to @ least 17-18...& IF the nuMichael is a success. JMO

I heard awhile back they were going to film a new one. I'm not sure if they were updating or making a new one, but that was back in September, so it must have just been a rumor.
