I think I may have to go ban crazy, any other dish people out there? I got my eye on you

Dish is a tree killer. I had a friend who was going to get dish, but they told her she would have to cut 3 trees down to get reception. I being the tree hugger that I am, put them on my shit list hee-hee!
I had just had it with Time Warner, (I went to war with them over my grandparents, crappy customer service & shitty DVR's) so I finally made good on my threat & called DirecTV. I am glad I did. I am getting more channels for less money & the guy who installed it was Totally hot (& he gave me his home #) Oh, yeah. He really did.

you go girl! you go girl!

I wanted fave 5, At&t doesn't have that.

I hate Cox anyway barfing

T-Mobile has fave 5, we have unlimited calling to more than 70 million subscribers and more if you combine with your AT&T home phone. Yeah, that's a really hard choice for me! lol!

Hate to break it to you, but I may be switching to Cox for my internet soon. I can't get our high speed internet, and I'm sick of paying $40 a month to have my shitty slow ass dial-up! smash computer I pay $10 a month for AOL and $30 a month for a home phone that I only use for internet access. I may as well be throwing my money in the trash! I have no need for a home phone, because I have a completely unlimited cell phone for free from work!

You're a great sales person, and if all of my family didn't have T-Mobile (free mobile to moblie) I'd get At&t, plus I always call the same 5 numbers. I get my home phone for $14.95 so that's almost free.

If I didn't work here and I had to pay full prices, I don't know what I would have. I know when I had Dish, I hated it. Then again I lived in an area full of storms and tornadoes.

I'm no sales person at all, but I work directly with sales people who tell me that all the time when customers come in asking for My Circle from Altell. It's such a load of crap because they advertise that to be free, but if it's free why would you choose from from 5, 10, or 20 numbers? When someone asks for that, my friend Boochy (short for Gabucci) always tells them we've got unlimited calling to 70 million, take your pick. Around here, that pretty much includes everyone, because your other choices are Altell or Sprint which both suck. Bad reception, bad service, bad deal.

Unfortunately while my cell phone is completely free, I get no bill whatsoever, I receive no discount at all on my home phone. I have the most basic plan available, but $30 a month for a phone that I don't actually use seems wasteful to me. Also, the dial-up is really getting old.

I typically don't have much problem with my dish, storms and rain don't really affect it as bad as I always hear from others. My parents have it too, and the only time they've really had problems was when it snowed alot and collected in the dish. My dad went outside with the broom and knocked it all out, and everything was fine. It doesn't snow much here, so that's not that big a deal.

I had Sprint and it sucks, I'm still dealing with a problem that started 12 months ago. The customer service is a joke and corporate is even worse.

As far as service problems with cable/dish, there are customers who never have a problem. There are also a number of them that have problem after problem.

They both come in from satellites and use the cable line to hook it up. The difference there is we have the more advanced and costly ones and we run it with fiber optic cable. We also have two way technology, vs one way with the dish. (two way it means incoming and outgoing). That makes the possibilities endless, our internet is insainly fast and the home phone for me is a must for my security system and for 911.

You might want to check, but I'm sure you need a landline to get the dish service. That is their one way technology. Sorry to be all techincal lol!

That's okay, no I don't have to have a landline for Dish. I am paying an extra $5 a month to not have it connected to my phone line, but I'm already doing that because the phone jack in my living room doesn't work. We are going to have U-Verse here soon, but I'm not sure if I'll be in the service area for it. Our U-Verse is with fiber optic cables too, and is supposed to blow Cox out of the water. I'm hoping that it will be in my neighborhood, but our hsi service isn't. I can't wait for it to get here, because we're going to have a tv in our store. That will definitely make the slow days go by faster! Unfortunately, I'm usually in my office and not on the sales floor. Oh, well. That's the way I like it anyway. Nice and quiet.

I HAve Alltel & I LOVE it!!! But I also live in an area that alltel was my only choice for cell lol! Sprint had service out of here but it fades in & out so your not garuanteed service. Plus I absolutely hate sprint!! I also have time warner and so far no issues w/ my cable.

Altell is okay, especially in the boonies. I'm not sure if you live in the sticks, but around here that's the place where it works best. I would naturally assume that's the norm for it, since I live in Arkansas, and that's where their corporate headquarters are.

I've had Charter and now I have Dish Netwrok and as far as I can tell there isn't much of a difference. The only thing I don't like about Dish is that it will freeze for a sec sometimes.
