When will Laura leave?

I wonder how long she will be around? Any chance she stays?

If not, I wonder how she will leave?

I think she will remarry Scotty, just to piss Luke off, & then they will move to Paris to live near Serena.

that would be funny as hell.

If Luke makes a big deal about it, Tracy will stick her foot up his ass.

I agree with Clarity. BUT...Genei & her family recently moved back to LA. So, you never know...

Guza's never liked writing for Laura...so why would he start now? I'm not denying that Genie & Co. just moved back to L.A., but that doesn't mean that Guza wants to use her or that I want to see her. The reason I was excited for a Laura return was not b/c of the character herself, but the history her character has on GH. I was excited to see the vets in a REAL s/l that lasted more than a day & a half...I was excited to see some good family stuff for once on GH. I was not, & am not, excited about Laura herself being back. She bores the crap out of me. I can see Guza trotting her out around sweeps for the next couple years (until TG is ready to retire)...then having L&L ride off into the sunset together. So she could totally come back, I just don't think she'll be around much longer this trip, or that any subsequent visits will last for very long. JMHO

You know why Laura is boring...because all of the writers from the 90s till now didn't know what to do with her...


HAD THEY:

Reviewed the tapes from the 70s *PRE LUKE*...they would have discovered that LAURA was SPUNKY...she had a fire in her that had NOTHING TO DO WITH LUKE...and they would have tapped into that side of her...

because let's face it...Laura was a tad bit of a bad girl mixed with sweet and sugary...that's what made her interesting...she was not the static character we've seen the past 15 years. And that's what made her work so well up against Luke back in the day...and also Laura's character mixed with the rest of the Webbers is what made THAT family work...

So, while I wouldn't mind Laura returning if they wrote her right *which we know they are incapable of doing with ANY of the vets*...I'd rather she be recurring ...still be living in PC...but we don't see her that much. *which would give Genie a chance to do other projects as well.

Also...it would free Luke to be with Spanky...and yes Clare they should have their OWN s/l...and not be a prop for others...*again a tactic the writers only know to do with vets.*

I totally agree...Guza & Co only know how to write for the characters they created. Couple of exceptions, mob related of course.

I think they did to Laura what has been done to other female characters that have grown up on the show. They aged them, gave them kids, and settled them down. They made them wishy-washy and harder to write for. That is what they did to Liz. And Lucky. Even though he's a guy.

Everyone else has pretty much left at this point, or are too young to settle, like Maxie. I can't think of any other character who grew up on GH that is still around. Maxie, Lulu are still in the spunky stage...am I forgetting anyone?

I guess I forgot about Robin, since she left for a long time. ITA with you ISIS, totally!!!

WHEN Laura finally does get back to Port Charles...and has that talk with her mom...

I HOPE TIIC have th4e decency to write us a really nice scene with Laura and Lesley...and I HOPE they actually remember that Shell Kepler is dead...and if so maybe they'll write something in the script that actually acknowledges Amy...I would be ok with her dying if they wrote it in...but I really feel they should have had SOME kind of acknowledgment to that and not just flashing Shell's pic at the end of an ep.

It would be nice to see Amy's FAMILY mourn her.

But also...I want to see Laura and Lesley interact...I REALLY miss that.
