It was a Mustang. There's a guy I work with who drives one almost exactly like it.

The car was cool, but the scene just reinforced that once in a mobular family--you'll always be in a mobular family, especially when you're related by blood. I'd pity Johnny, but he keeps the trainwreck so close & protected, ignoring all faults, that I don't feel bad @ all.
