Lights! Cameras! High-Def!
Starting April 23, GH starts broadcasting in high def.
SBr says she's super-excited about it and it's going to be great for GH. She's a big camera and tech junkie so she's really excited about GH going to HD.
The studio shut down the week of March 16 to prepare. New digital cameras and lighting rigs are now shooting on a new hospital set which includes a second story, with a degree of detail never before seen.
JT says he loves the new set that they have at the hub. It gives them more to do in that hub and there's a lot more room.
IR says the new hospital set is phenomenal. It looks like a movie or nighttime set. It looks so much more classy with the 50-inch flat screen monitors.
However, there's a learning curve. IR says it's taken everyone a little time to adjust.
SBr adds that they have to earn while they learn and hopes everyone excuses them while the producers figure it out.
IR says if you have a widescreen TV that you now get to see a little bit more of the sets, a little more depth perception and the colors are a little bit more vibrant, too. It looks wonderful.

TC and his wife Brienne expect their first child on Oct. 1.

Drew Garrett debuts as Michael on April 24 and onscreen mom LW is excited. She says it's going to be awesome. He's a great actor. He's going to pleasantly surprise the audience.
Viewers will have to adjust to not only Michael's new face, but his new age. LW says "you have to age kids so that they can participate in a story and have their own story. It's really hard for a 12-year-old or 13-year-old to have their own solid story. If you age them almost to adulthood they can do stupid things and not get into too much trouble for it. It's always a jolt when you see the new actor and age range, but I really do believe that people will be pleasantly surprised. Everyone will like him a lot."
What about Michael's iconic red hair?
LW doesn't think that's even an issue. She, herself, represented a change of huge for Carly when she assumed the role in 2005. "Carly was a brunette. I replaced Tamara Braun, who became a brunette and Jenny Bransford was a brunette. I even asked GH if they wanted me to dye my hair brown when I started, and they were like 'No, no, no." Also, Carly always had brown eyes until me."

Nice of Sonny to tell Robin, and us, that he takes his meds and attends therapy, since we never see that.
Winners:
Robin. She finally agreed to counseling for her postpartum depression.

Ric will take drastic measures to find out if he's the daddy. Claudia feels the walls closing in on her.

Meanwhile in Hearst news. Guza says "he holds he cards over Claudia & could the father of her child. Also we plan to see more of a grownup Kristina, and Ric will be a surrogate of sorts"

THIS WEEK ON: GENERAL HOSPITAL
Ethan refuses when Luke asks him to take a DNA test to determine whether they're father and son. Tracy warns Luke that he's playing right into Ethan's hands. Lulu and Maxie make an effort to get past their recent differences. Elizabeth and Nikolas are bothered by Lucky and Rebecca closeness. Nikolas and Lucky clash over Rebecca and Elizabeth on Thursday, April 30. Lucky and Rebecca walk in on an intoxicated Nikolas and Elizabeth sharing a real kiss at Jake's. Maxie comes up with a plan to try and get Spinelli back. Ethan has a change of heart and agrees to take the DNA test. Elizabeth admits to Nikolas that she's conflicted over her feelings for Lucky. Nikolas walks in on Lucky and Rebecca in a compromising position. Maxie finds herself in danger when her scheme backfires on Friday, May 1.
The Inside Story: High Risks
On Monday, April 27, Jax begins to have second thoughts about Carly's pregnancy after overhearing her discussing the risks with Jason. Carly refuses to consider terminating her pregnancy. Olivia accuses Claudia of having ulterior motives for getting pregnant. Carly is shaken when Sonny informs her that Dr. Hensen believes time is running out for Michael to recover. Claudia fears that the attempted hit on Jerry could end up being traced back to her. Jason becomes convinced of Claudia's guilt after questioning her about the car explosion. After talking to Diane, Jason comes to the conclusion that he can't tell Sonny about Claudia for the sake of the unborn child involved. Sonny insists Carly terminate the pregnancy after he learns the risks she's facing by carrying the child. Jax and Sonny come to blows on Wednesday, April 29. Jax vows to prevent Sonny from sticking his nose into his and Carly's marriage. Claudia questions Sonny's true feelings about Carly. Jax implores both Sonny and Jason to back off of getting revenge on Jerry for the time being for Carly's sake. Ric continues to menace Claudia. Jax goes to Claudia with a proposition. Sonny finds Jax and Claudia together.
A Closer Look: End of the Road
Patrick rescues Emma as she's about falls down the stairs. Emma's dad takes drastic measures to get Robin the help she needs after learning she stopped taking her medication. Patrick, Maxie, [color:8e40=green !important][color:8e40=green !important]Mac, Kelly, Elizabeth, Matt and Dr. Brown gather and stage an intervention for Robin on Tuesday, April 28. A cornered Robin launches into a vicious attack against Maxie. Robin is forced to accept that she needs help and agrees to get in patient treatment at Kelly's urging. Matt tells an overwhelmed Patrick that he's moving in to help him with Emma but soon ends up overwhelmed himself. Patrick misses Robin. Ingrid and Robin find themselves well matched when Jax asks Patrick to consult on Michael's case

Patrick rescues Emma before she comes crashing down the hospital stairs.
Patrick takes drastic measures after he finds out that Robin isn't taking her meds.
Carly talks to Jason about her health risk and Jax overhears.
Jax tells her that he wants her to terminate, but she won't hear of it.
Olivia tells Claudia her theory on Claudia's convenient pregnancy.
Claudia worries that her hit on Jerry will be traced back to her.
Sonny makes a decision about Michael. (Soon he might have to make some decisions about Dante, too!)

On Tuesday, May 26, Maxie tries to convince herself Spinelli is the right guy for her despite her attraction to Johnny. Claudia supplies Johnny with a gun to protect himself from Sonny. A threatening Sonny orders Johnny to stay away from Olivia. Johnny and Olivia continue their flirtation but agree to put things on hold as they both don't want to be together for the wrong reasons. Believing she's carrying his child, Ric asks Claudia to take off with him. Lucky and Elizabeth grow more suspicious of Rebecca. Elizabeth faces off with Rebecca on Wednesday, May 27. Rebecca places a cryptic call. Carly turns to Kelly for help (and proof) when an overly-cautious Jax refuses to be intimate with her for the baby's safety.
The Inside Story: The Heartbreaker
Edward clashes with Sonny and Carly. Michael has a major outburst and later confesses to Jason that he's troubled by the changes he sees in himself. Jason opens up to Michael about the experiences he went through after his accident. Carly tells a highly agitated Michael that he's going home with her. Jax pleads with Michael to give his mother a chance on Wednesday, May 27. Claudia subtly probes Michael to see if he remembers any of her visits. Michael learns that Sonny and Claudia are married. Michael turns to Jason for answers about his accident on Thursday, May 28. Jason later teams up with Sam to get the truth once and for all. Carly balks when Jax implies that it would be best for her to give Michael the room he needs...away from her, for now. Michael is clearly fond of Claudia. Carly is hurt when she overhears Michael's enthusiasm over Claudia's pregnancy. Sonny thinks Claudia could be just the medicine Michael needs. Jason and Sam track down Fredo. Fredo rats out Claudia to save himself.
A Closer Look: The Mother Hen
Robin and Patrick meet at a restaurant they had planned on meeting at once before after Robin is released from her in-patient treatment. Although their meeting is a bit strained, the duo are clearly still in love. Patrick watches on anxiously as Robin reaches out to pick up Emma after they arrive home. Robin has no trouble bonding with Emma on Wednesday, May 27 and is obviously thrilled to have her daughter in her arms. Patrick is ecstatic to have his family back. Holly shows up to confront Robin after learning she advised Ethan that his mother was more than likely being dishonest with him when she told him that Robert is his father. Holly's conscience takes over and she heads to the Haunted Starr where she finally tells Luke and Ethan the truth on Friday, May 29.

It's a summer of mystery and adventure for the residents of Port Charles," teases Head Writer Robert Guza, Jr. Luke/Tracy/Ethan: "When Holly leaves, Luke and Tracy will deal with the bombshell that Luke is Ethan's son. Ethan has been blindsided and wrestles with his feelings. More Are the reviews coming in so bad for Nikolas and Rebecca that TPTB will ultimately make Rebecca Emily? OR, will Rebecca turn out to be Emily’s twin? Another RUMOR floating around the past couple of days, Holly is a Cassadine! Hey, they are changing history quite a bit, so it could happen! That would mean if Ethan is truly Luke’s kid, Luke would have spawned a Cassadine. Also RUMORED, when Luke hears the final “truth” from Holly, he is thrilled to find out Ethan is his son and refuses another DNA test. Lulu will most likely welcome him into the family, but don’t expect the same thing out of brother, Lucky. GH will experience a black-out coming up, according to Sarah Brown’s Twitter (she’s a fun follow, BTW) RUMBLINGS have come out saying the blackout is because filming will go 5 weeks out so it gives time for serious discussions about where to take the show. Coming up, Holly SHOULD be coming clean about Ethan’s father. The problem is, can we really trust her?
Ethan heads over to Robin’s house to let her know he just found out they could be brother and sister, according to Holly. But Robin says it doesn’t make sense! She uses his birthday to prove that it is impossible for Robert Scorpio to be his father. The weird thing is, Holly has just told Ethan that Robert is indeed his father.
Why is Holly being so insensitive to Ethan regarding who his real father is? Ethan is upset Holly is using him and just wants a straight answer. When Holly tries to set the record straight by telling Ethan Luke is really his father, Ethan is more than suspect. Why should he believe her now? Yesterday, it was Robert…today it’s Luke! I don’t blame the guy for not believing her.
According to SOW, Ethan is secretly happy Luke is his dad, but there’s a huge cloud of doubt left hanging over it. What if Holly has gotten his hopes up and she ends up dashing those hopes all over again.
By the end of Holly’s little game, will she end up with Luke? OR Tracy’s money? Neither!

Ever wonder how Laura Wright can turn on the tears so quickly? She tells SOW that the current storyline is very emotional for her and makes her think of her kids more because of where she goes mentally thinking about what it would be like to have a child that would have gone through what Michael has. It is really heavy, heavy material, she says. It is hard to keep anything emotional separate from her personal life because she works so much.
Robin Returns
Coming up, Robin returns recovered from PPD and is ready to nest with Patrick and Emma.
"Patrick is wondering if it's just another one of those situations where she says she's okay but she didn't really get help, explains Jason Thompson. "But it doesn't take long before he notices that she is feeling much better."
Patrick has been figuring out fatherhood and balancing his surgical career
with Robin away.
JT says, "She calls Patrick at the hospital and she wants to meet for dinner," he explains, she selects the restaurant where they were supposed to meet the night she drove off to Rochester. "It's a neutral place to break the ice. They talk. He didn't know that she was getting out so soon; she got out a little bit early because she was doing well."
Patrick just needs a little convincing that it's all true. "At first he's a little apprehensive, but she calms him down and says that she's feeling better," JT assures. "She apologizes for everything and says she realizes how off the handle she was."
Dinner with her husband is one thing. The real test, of course, is how she deals with little Emma. "Patrick is wondering how it's gonna be with all of them together as a family," explains Jason. "But she's great with Emma pretty much right off the bat! She's affectionate with Emma and doing all the thing that she wanted to do in the beginning but didn't think she could."
Patrick is guardedly optimistic. "He looking at her from afar, just taking it all in and making sure this is for real, that she's not pulling the wool over his eyes again."
And...?
"And he's definitely relieved when he sees that she really does love him," Jason cheers. "He never really blamed her, exactly; he knew that she was struggling. He felt that if she could just get a handle on it, she'd be okay. And that's the proof right there: She's really good with Emma."

According to my inside source, the RUMOR is absolutely TRUE! No exact scoop yet, but I do know this - Mercedes is somehow connected with the mayors wife, Andrea! Mercedes does know some sort of secret regarding her. INTERESTING! !! Is it a S.E.X. thing? Does she have dirt on her? We know there’s a political scandal coming!

a fall in the shower. The mayor makes himself scarce.
6/11 Matt insists on performing the needed surgery;
problems arise during the operation. Brianna does not make it.
Meanwhile, Robin, Emma and Patrick enjoy some family time iin the park.
6/12 Diane delivers the news that the family of Brianna will be
initiating a malpractice suit.
Robin and Patrick worry about Matt's state of mind.
Michael is discharged from the hospital and finally goes home
but it will be far from smooth sailing.

Coming This Week On Thursday, nuKristina makes her debut on GH! She shows up outside a bar where she runs into Jason. She shows up as a hell-raising teenager and gets involved in all sorts of typical teenage rebellion. One of the first things she does? Helps break brother Michael out of the hospital. Helena returns too, this time she runs into Rebecca. Meanwhile, Agent Rayner fills Alexis in on the dirt – Rebecca is Emily’s illegally adopted twin. Will Alexis reveal the truth to Nikolas? Will Helena convince Rebecca to come work for her? NOTE: Be sure and visit the GHOFS exclusive interview with Constance Towers! Re-emerging on screen this week as well is the dashing Billy Dee Williams when he joins the dayshift. Will Epiphany and Touissant still have a romantic connection? One tidbit on Toussant, he will prevent Michael from preventing a huge mistake! Also coming this week, Rebecca and Nik finally give in and hit the sheets. Has it been two weeks? By Friday, a big surprise! We will see Rebecca and Ethan hook up after Rebecca turns down Helena’s offer to join forces! We SHOULD be finding out the two of them have been hookin’ up for a little on the side all along. Lulu will get an eye full when she sees the two of them together and later warns Ethan he can’t trust Rebecca who claims the two of them only recently met at the Haunted Star. Michael continues to have outbursts, and will take out his anger on Robin. Jason will try to get him under control. Meanwhile, Claudia continues her games with Michael and subtly plays him against Carly. When Claudia, Sonny, Carly and Jax realize Michael is missing, he has managed to leave the hospital and make his way to Kristina’s room. Carly overhears Claudia talking with her brother about Michael and the confrontation ends when the two of them fall down those DARN hospital stairs. Also coming: We saw Ethan and Lucky get into a nasty fight on Tuesday. But coming up the two of them decide to have a DNA test without Tracy’s knowledge. Coming Next Week After Carly and Claudia both fall down the STAIRS from HELL at GH, both of them fear for the worst. When Ric becomes overly concerned for Claudia, Sonny becomes suspicious. He begins to wonder if Ric could be the father of his wife’s baby. Later, Olivia suggests to Sonny that Ric may be the father of Claudia’s baby. Meanwhile, Jax has growing concerns for Michael. He can’t seem to control his rage when he directs a violent outburst at yet another hospital staffer. When Rebecca is finally revealed to be Emily’s twin, both Nikolas and Jason become the perfect bait. Rebecca does her best to try and win Jason over. Will she succeed? Elizabeth is not convinced that Rebecca is as innocent as she claims after she sees Rebecca dressed in Emily’s clothes and making a suspicious phone call. Also coming: Helena pays a visit to Kristina. Claudia plans to silence Jason. Nikolas has something to show Rebecca. Matt has problems during surgery – his patient, the mayor’s mistress, Brianna dies on the operating table. Spinelli, Maxie and Lulu uncover what Kate is up to. Diane delivers news that Brianna’s family will be filing a malpractice suit. Luke is given an ultimatum by Tracy. Rebecca is successful in getting Jason in her corner. Claudia learns she is still pregnant. Sonny demands a paternity test. When Nik shows Rebecca she is Emily’s twin, she acts shocked. Jolivia continues! Michael hears Kristina’s complaints about their dad. After storming out of Carly’s house, Michael is picked up by Kristina and the two of them end up in danger. Tues, June 9 – Patrick eases Robin’s insecurities, and then the two of them are better than ever when they have passionate sex. Kristina is visited by Helena. Sonny continues his suspicions of Ric, causing him to wonder if Ric is the father of Claudia’s baby. Sonny asks Claudia for a paternity test. Nikolas has something important to show Rebecca to prove her and Emily are twins, she acts surprised. Jax continues to worry more and more over Carly’s pregnancy and over Michael’s rage. Sam defends Jason to Kristina, who continues to act out. Wed, June 10 – Mayor Floyd could end up at the end of his career when his mistress, Brianna Hughes takes a tumble in the shower at the Metro Court. The mayor disappears while Patrick and Robin offer assistance to the mayor’s lover at the MC after being called in by Olivia. Rebecca is on a mission to win over Jason. Meanwhile, Elizabeth is not convinced she is as innocent as she claims. Tracy leaves Luke with an ultimatum. Helena threatens Rebecca, but Luke jumps in to protect her. Thurs, June 11 – Alexis puts pressure on Mayor Floyd to increase the city’s budget for public schools. Matt insists on performing surgery on Brianna Hughes, but problems arise during the operation. The unthinkable happens when his patient dies on the operating table. Meanwhile, Patrick and Robin are in the park with Emma. Michael has another bout of rage he can’t control. Claudia is afraid she has lost her baby. Spinelli is determined to find out what Kate is up to. After his patient dies, Matt lashes out at Patrick and Robin. Fri, June 12 – Olivia tells Sonny she is suspicious of Claudia’s pregnancy. Michael is discharged from GH, but his homecoming does not go as planned. Kate’s secret is discovered by Spinelli, Maxie and Lulu. It’s up to Diane to deliver the news that Brianna’s family plans to file a malpractice suit. Claudia finds out she is still pregnant. Patrick and Robin are worried about Matt. Also Coming: Michael has another outburst directed this time toward Elizabeth. Jason manages to calm him down. Jason admits to Sonny he isn’t sure it’s a good idea for Michael to move in with Carly. Sonny threatens to kick out Claudia, but is later affected when he spies her talking to her unborn child. Kristina takes her brother on a joy ride, causing Michael’s homecoming to possibly end in tragedy. Nik is not happy with Alexis’ investigation of Rebecca. Rebecca is successful in getting Jason in her corner, but Liz is not convinced. We learn how Rebecca and Ethan met and devised their con. Nikolas shows Rebecca proof that she and Emily are twins, Rebecca fakes being shocked. Nik tells Monica that Rebecca is Emily’s twin, Monica is thrilled. Ethan plays big-bro to Lulu when he goes into protective mode. Olivia and Johnny continue with their secret affair. Kristina continues to gripe about her daddy, this time to Michael. Kristina hits on Jason. Mon, June 15 – Robin and Patrick continue to reach out to Matt, but he is not interested. Sonny has a new attitude toward Claudia, but Olivia doesn’t like it. Is Sam in over her head with her latest case? Alexis makes a confession to Diane that the mayor wants her to get Diane to drop the suit and sweep the entire matter under the rug. Matt gets drunk at Jakes, makes a pass at Maxie then starts pounding on Spinelli. Johnny gets in the mix and gets the upper hand. Coleman calls Patrick, warning him Matt is in trouble. Tues, June 16 – Michael continues with anger issues, he is afraid he will harm someone. Patrick accidentally adds fuel to Diane’s fire. Claudia is forced to deal with Ric’s accusations. Patrick and Robin rescue Matt from Jake’s. Diane later tells Patrick he is going to be named in the malpractice suit with Matt. Wed, June 17 – Diane gets curious about Alexis and Mayor Floyd – just why would Alexis bow down to the Mayor? Spinelli and Maxie snoop around the mayor’s office and are almost caught, displeasing uncle Mac who has spotted them. Although Mac doesn’t give them away, he later sends Robin to tell Maxie they gotta stop playing detective. Patrick and Robin also do some investigating of their own and return to the scene where Brianna fell. Robin finds out that Andrea Floyd, the mayor’s wife is a client of Sam’s. Nik begins to have some reservations about pursuing a relationship with Rebecca. Patrick gets a visit from the Mayor’s wife. Thur, June 18 – Claudia wants to have Jason taken out. Andrea, the mayor’s wife asks Patrick to settle the malpractice suit out of court to avoid a scandal. Fri, June 19 – Things heat up between Claudia and Sonny. Tues, June 23 – Robin and Patrick are on a mission to solve a murder mystery. And, Coming Soon Ric tells Sonny he could be the father of Claudia’s child. Claudia plans to have Jason eliminated. To serve her own purpose, Claudia supports Michael’s decision to live with Carly. Patrick is named in the malpractice suit. Ethan makes it clear to Rebecca that he is in charge.
