If your fave left the show....

I'm just wondering, if your favorite actor/actress left GH would you quit watching?

I quit watching GH in the 80's after John Stamos left. Would I do it now, I'm not sure. If Greg left the show, I would be devastated, but I am pretty hooked, so would I quit watching all together? Just not sure.

How about you?

I wouldn't stop watching, but I would be crushed. Brenda is my example, when she left I was just as mad as can be, but still tuned in.

Honestly, yes and I truly believe that day isn't too far away (and as it is, I don't watch the show unless she is on). If Nancy doesn't take her out in June, I really don't see her staying beyond the end of her contract in 2010 to be honest. They don't let her work or give her anything to do, she hasn't had a story in two years (and no, I don't consider JLex a story when in total they had maybe a week or two worth of scenes and airtime together), she hasn't had an onscreen love scene in nearly seven years and they won't let her keep a love interest. I just don't see that Frons or Guza are that interested in keeping Nancy or Alexis as a part of the GH canvas. It breaks my heart the way she is treated by TIIC. Unless something changes (like a new head writer??) and she suddenly gets something, I don't think Alexis will exist more than another year & a half. I hope I'm wrong but I really feel this at this moment.

Well, my fav has left twice (and returned, happily) and I am still here. So no, I would not. But I have been watching since around 1981, and am hooked...it's a prt of my life. The only time I purposely stopped watching (albeit for a very short time) was when Luke & Laura got divorced. That pissed me off. There have been short periods of time where I had to stop (pre SoapNet days) for other reasons, like school, jobs, no VCR, that kindof thing.

Well, the reason I became hooked in the first place was because of Leslie/Monica...so if she ever leaves the show...ISIS is gone...

I LURVE my Alexis...and Nancy is an AWESOME actress...but if there were no Monica...I'd just have to stop watching... and forcertianly if Nancy ever decides to take her talents elsewhere...I'll follow her.

I did it with ATWT...when Jessica Griffin stopped getting REAL s/ls and airtime...and then began to show up more on L&O :SVU...that's when I quit watching ATWT...and became a more FREQUENT viewer of SVU....Haven't looked back since I stopped watching ATWT.

I don't think I would quit, at least not permanently. I guess it would depend on why she left. If Kelly left because she was being mistreated or disrespected or if she were fired, I would probably stop watching for awhile. However, if she decided to leave to pursue other projects, especially if they left the door open for her to return, I wouldn't have any problems continuing to watch. I'd miss her terribly, but I'd still watch.

When MB leaves I won't quit watching but I will be sad. GH has some great actors and would keep me watching!

Nope, Sb, MB & Vanessa have all left and came back & in Vanessa's case stayed gone & i continued to watch GH. Liz left after the LiRic thing & AT (OG Emily) & JJ (OG Lucky) both left and at the time they were my faves!
